SalesGrid ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SalesGrid CRM web application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly
    When you create an account, we collect: name, email address, company name (optional), password (hashed).
  • Email provider integrations
    When you connect an email account (such as Gmail, Outlook/Office 365, or other supported providers) via OAuth, we request limited, scoped permissions to:
    • Compose and send emails on your behalf
    • Access sent items or related data only as needed to log sent emails in CRM records (if you enable this feature)
    We only use this access to:
    • Send emails you explicitly compose and approve through SalesGrid
    • Log sent emails in associated deal/contact records (if you choose)
    • Never read, store, search, or process your inbox, drafts, received messages, or other folders beyond what is strictly necessary for the features you use
    You can revoke access at any time directly in your email provider's account settings.
  • Automatically collected data
    Usage data, device information, browser type, IP address, pages visited, time and date of access (standard analytics).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the SalesGrid service
  • Authenticate you and secure your account
  • Send transactional emails (password resets, notifications)
  • Send emails you explicitly compose and approve through the app
  • Analyze usage to improve features and performance
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these limited cases:

  • With service providers (Render, PostgreSQL host, email delivery services) under strict confidentiality
  • To comply with law, court order, or legal process
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required)

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure (Render + managed PostgreSQL)
  • Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text)
  • We use HTTPS everywhere
  • OAuth access tokens for email providers are stored encrypted and scoped only to required permissions
  • We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights & Choices

  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@sales-grid.com
  • You can revoke email provider access at any time through your provider's account security settings
  • You can delete your entire SalesGrid account (contact support)

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. We take appropriate safeguards to protect your data.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
